These are the humble musings of an adopted New Englander, advertising agency lifer, avid two-wheeler (human-powered and machine), reader of newspapers, and occasional writer of kids books.
I’m a Connecticut dad obsessed with (in no specific order): my kids, Guided by Voices, Vespas, John Barth, modern medicine, vintage farmhouses, Emily, the city of Weimar, catching bluefish & stripers, Vermont, cornbread, ADV-riding, Yamaha Super Ténérés, BMW Motorrad, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, Apple, surfing, Cape Hatteras, The Commuter’s Dilemma, the science of pie-making, Vorsprung durch Technik, the late Maurice Sendak, taking stuff apart, and putting it back together.
(There’s always an odd screw left over, but it never seems to hurt.)
Father of three, husband of one, and accruer of blessings which are far too many to count.
Hope you enjoy my writes and rides.
